The Windsor2030 Vision Day has been featured in Local Berkshire, with the story illustrated by a derelict part of Thames Street.

Areas highlighted for improvement include the upper St Leonard’s Road/lower Peascod Street area, Peascod Quarter around William Street, King Edward Court and High Street/Thames Street as well as exploring the Windsor Link Railway idea and improving the riverside part of town.

Around 100 people went to the event and Dermot Whelan, chairman of the Windsor 2030 steering group, said: “The good thing was that a lot of people are now interested – that’s the most important thing. That said, we would like to get more residents’ feedback as this is their plan.

“None of the areas we suggested are set in stone and more can be added – that is the idea of this consultation which is still ongoing.”
